An inflection point for me as a designer. First time leading a project, lots of messing around in production, lots of illustration iterations, and mistakes made in the way. A badass result though, IMHO.

Starting from nowhere

All superteam had was a notion page — which still exists at in.superteam.fun. What we were blessed with, though — is a pre-established brand identity:

A problem

This colour scheme was supposed to be used for Superteam IN. We had to come up with something neutral(ish) — because every country’s superteam would follow the colours of their flag. This was very perplexing. But I decided to tackle more difficult challenges first.

Recruiting smarter people than me

I did try doing everything by myself — but it soon became clear to me that I needed to play to my strengths and just get people who are better than me. Luckily, Trina (illustrator) and Tushar (frontend dev) were available.

Particularly humbling moment honestly. Reminded again how I couldn’t be good at everything (yet).

After assembling the avengers, the hard part had just begun. Getting my vision onto a screen, translated through an illustrator and a dev — proved harder than it looked. Here are my favourite parts about the website —
